Quince paste with orange sponge cake

Ingredients:

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 500 g quince paste with orange

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, alternating and beating well after each addition.
  6. Add the orange quince paste and beat in.
  7. Pour the mixture into a cake pan lined with baking paper.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a fork inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before unmolding.
